What fundamental analysis examines
Fundamental analysis studies the economic and financial forces that influence an asset. In currencies and CFDs, traders often compare interest-rate expectations, inflation, growth, employment, fiscal policy, company results, and commodity supply or demand.
Expectations move markets
Prices often react to the difference between published data and what participants expected, not to whether a number looks strong or weak in isolation. The same release can produce different reactions depending on positioning, liquidity, and the wider policy outlook.
Build an event-aware process
Combine evidence carefully
Fundamentals can define a broader thesis while technical analysis helps structure timing and risk. Neither removes uncertainty. Use a stop, appropriate size, and a clear condition that would invalidate the original view.
